Abstract
Yakut oral folk art reflects the history, culture and philosophy of the Sakha people. The study of its verbal structure contributes to the knowledge of many phenomena inherent in the language of the people. Thus, at the present stage of development of Yakut linguistics, one of the urgent tasks is to study the language of genres of Yakut oral folk art, in particular, ritual poetry. Wedding algys (benevolence) is a unique archaic layer of Yakut folklore, good wishes from relatives and friends to young spouses. The study of its lexical and morphological features determines the characteristic features of expressive oral poetic speech, which reflects the wedding culture of the Sakha people. The purpose of the study is to study the features of the language of wedding algуs. To achieve this goal, the following tasks are being solved: to consider the classification of Yakut ritual poetry; to identify the features of wedding algys as a variety of algys; to explore the lexical and morphological features of Yakut wedding algys. In the course of the work, a comprehensive linguistic methodology was applied, including descriptive, structural, and statistical methods. The research material is the texts of wedding algys from the scientific publication «Ritual Poetry of the Sakha (Yakuts)» (2003). The following lexical and morphological features of Yakut wedding algys have been identified: characteristic formulaic expressions, paired words, archaic vocabulary, allegories, synonyms and antonyms in rhythmic and syntactic parallelisms, verbs in the imperative mood, interjections expressing emotional and volitional reactions. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that the study of the features of the language of wedding аlgуs has not previously been the subject of special study and has been analyzed for the first time in lexical and morphological aspects. The main provisions and results of the work can be used in further studies of the language features of other varieties of аlgys, as well as other genres of Yakut oral folk art. The practical part of the research can be applied in teaching vocabulary and morphology of the Yakut language, as well as a special course on the language of folklore, in classes on the philological analysis of literary text.
