Abstract

The article describes the system of verbal nouns formed with the help of productive and unproductive affixes, in a comparative aspect with other Turkic and Buryat-Mongolian languages. The purpose of the article is to briefly identify the main results of the first systematic study of the derivatives of the Yakut language, as a result of which the Dictionary of verbal names of the Yakut language is being prepared for publication. To achieve the intended goal, the following tasks are set, such as identifying the system of verbal names; determining the main features, identifying parallels of the selected vocabulary and word-forming formants in other Turkic and Buryat-Mongolian languages. The study is conducted on the basis of comparative, etymological analyses. The relevance is determined by the fact that in Yakut linguistics it is necessary to pay great attention to word formation and term formation. The identification and study of derivatives allows us to understand the word-formation capabilities of the Yakut verbs, and is also of great value for the term formation of the Yakut language, which is in dire need of new terms that can compete with international and Russian terms. For the study of verbal names, the following were used: the method of morphemic analysis used to identify the morphemic structure of a derived word; the method of component analysis, which involves the study of the semantic structure of verbal nouns; the method of semantic identification used in the interpretation of the word-formation meanings of verbal nouns; and the nest method, which allows you to visualize the word-formation capabilities of each verb. The object of the study was about 6000 commonly used, terminological and dialectal nouns and adjectives formed from 1284 verbs recorded in the explanatory, dialectological and terminological dictionaries of the Yakut language. This article briefly describes the history of the study of word formation as a separate branch of Yakut linguistics, highlights the lexical and grammatical features of a derived word, pays special attention to name-forming affixes, and draws an analogy with other Turkic and Mongolian languages. It is established that most of the system of word-forming formants consists of Turkic affixes.
