Abstract

The article analyzes the concept «wine» in the aspect of the Yakut-Russian translation. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the aestheticization of this concept in the works of fiction is a powerful means of its formation in every nation, fatefully influencing the minds and behavior of people. Purpose: Disclosure of features of the concept «wine» in the studied texts. To do this, the structure of the concept of both works with the identification of the intention. The methods of translation used to convey the content of the concept are analyzed. A conclusion about the conceptual equivalence of the translation was made, and the value component of the studied concept was revealed. In the course of work inductive, deductive and comparative methods of analysis were used. The object of the study are passages with the motifs of wine and drunkenness in the poem «Arygy» by A. Kulakovsky and in the translation by V. Soloukhin. The subject of the study is the artistic concept of «wine» in these texts and features of its disclosure in each of them. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that in the Russian-Yakut and Yakut-Russian literary translation this work is practically the first attempt to study this topic. The core, prider zone and the periphery of the concept, consisting of bright associations with a purely negative connotation in both texts were identified. Translation transformations include substitutions, mostly equivalent and adequate, omissions, most of which are compensated, numerous explications and additions. Having somewhat impoverished the artistic expressiveness, the translation is quite equivalent to the original in terms of conveying the content, idea and intention of A. E. Kulakovsky’s poem. The ideological value of the poem and its translation lies in the artistic presentation of the foresight of the adverse effects of wine drinking on the fate of the entire nation, later confirmed by the scientific truth about alcohol. The study has the prospect of further study of the actual concept in the space of the Russian-Yakut translation of the classics of Russian literature, as well as in interlingual translation of modern Russian and Yakut works.
